🕺Dancing Is My Cardio

July 18, 2026

Hey there, reader.
It’s Ruby. 💜

I hope you’re ready to party because the dance workout I’m about to show you will blow your mind.

🕺Dancing Is My Cardio

As you may know from my previous articles, I’m not the type of person who sticks to just one activity to keep myself in shape. I’m a curious bunny. I need to try new things. I need to see what other cool hobbies I can add to my collection.

So far, I’ve tried the gym, swimming, Pilates, horse riding, tennis, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics… you know what, the list is pretty long, and if I keep going, you’ll probably leave before we get to the good part.

Long story short, my newest obsession is belly dance. I’ve already taken a variety of dance classes, but this one completely stole my heart. Hey, I saw that. No judging! Have you seen what they wear to practice? Those little skirts with the coins? I’m obsessed. Every time you move, you hear them jingling. How cool is that? I couldn’t resist, so of course I had to sign up.

Imagine this: my first class absolutely destroyed my core. I was sweaty, breathing heavily, and completely knackered. But it was worth every second. The music was fascinating, and I loved every minute of it.

I should probably mention that my taste in music is a little… eccentric. So I’ve put together some of my favorite dance workouts, organized by music genre, so you can browse through them and pick whatever catches your attention.

Even though I enjoy meeting new people and taking group classes, sometimes I need to recharge my batteries, so I skip a lesson here and there. On those days, these workouts become my go-to activity because they’re easy to follow, and I get to sing at the top of my lungs or embarrass myself in countless other ways. Best of all? Nobody’s watching.

I should warn you, though—they’ll definitely make you sweat. I usually aim for around 30–40 minutes of continuous movement, but if you’re a beginner and feel like you can’t catch your breath, don’t hesitate to pause the video, grab a sip of water, and take a little break. There’s no rush. The goal is to have fun and keep moving.

Before you begin your workouts, I just want to let you know that this isn’t an advertisement, nor am I trying to steal anyone’s content. I’d really encourage you to check these creators out on YouTube and browse through their other videos because I truly believe they’re all doing an amazing job.

Nicely done! You ready to dance out one more round with me? I’m just warming up.

Just kidding—you look exhausted. And very sweaty. I do hope you had fun trying one of these workouts because nobody said staying active has to be boring.

Now go take a long, relaxing shower. You deserve it.

Remember to stay hydrated and treat yourself to a healthy snack. See you soon!
